The latest PAGEGRID update delivers faster site loading and a smoother editor drag-and-drop experience, particularly on pages with lots of items.

We've integrated ProcessWire's powerful markup cache directly into PAGEGRID's rendering process. This optimization, automatically enabled for guest visitors, dramatically boosts performance. Expect up to a 10x speed improvement compared to previous versions, particularly noticeable on content-rich pages.

For example, our own homepage (which is also build with PAGEGRID), now loads much quicker, with server response times dropping from 600ms to 140ms, as measured using Google Chrome Developer Tools (if you test from outside of germany you might get different results).

We also optimised the performance of the backend editor to improve drag-and-drop responsiveness for pages with a large number of items.
