A symbol is a pre-designed arrangement of blocks. Think of it like a template for a specific section or layout on your website. Symbols make it incredibly simple to add complex layouts and designs to your site without having to start from scratch every time. There are two types of symbols:
Synchronized Symbols
Synchronized symbols help you keep content and design in sync throughout your site. They can be used to create identical copies of recurring layouts that have the exact same content, like nav bars, footers or any combination of items. Edit them in one place and see those changes impact every instance of that symbol. You can recognize synchronized symbols by their green color when you select them.
Non-Synchronized Symbols
Non-synchronized symbols (also known as patterns) can be individually edited without affecting other instances. They are a quick way to add pre-designed layout sections to your page. As soon as you add them, they behave like normal block elements.
