Blueprints
Blueprints let you populate pages with a predefined layout, giving editors a starting point or restoring a saved design.
Creating a Blueprint
You can create a blueprint in two ways:
-
From the editor: Click the gear icon in the top navigation bar and select Create Blueprint. Opens a new tab with the current page layout pre-selected.
-
From the page tree: Go to Setup > PAGEGRID > Blueprints > Add New.
Give your blueprint a name and click save. If you selected a source page its layout will be copied into the blueprint.
Loading a Blueprint
Loading a blueprint replaces the current page content with the selected blueprint's layout.
-
Click the gear icon in the top navigation bar and select Load Blueprint. Choose a blueprint from the dialog and click Load.
-
When a page has no content yet, a Load from Blueprint button appears automatically inside the editor.
Loading a blueprint replaces all current page content. This action cannot be undone.
Auto-Add to New Pages
You can assign a parent page to a blueprint so that every new page created under that parent automatically starts with the blueprint's layout.
To set this up, edit the blueprint page and go to Settings > Blueprint Settings. Select a parent page and save. Now all new child pages created under that parent will be a copy of this blueprint.

Blueprint permissions are controlled through template-level access on the pg_blueprint template.
